Wanderer

I imagine you smell of the salt in the sea

You wandered around could not ever be

Sincerely that is who I was and who I am

Exposed to winds yet concealed like a clam

Free spirit, an eagle, you glide high atop

Soaring and diving, avoiding rough chop

Feather toward keen talon, eye toward beak

Sky trembles spooked, beast of prey shrieks

Peek under feather, shuck shell of this pride

My bivalve, your secret, a rare pearl is inside
