Ocean's Edge
Cool winds blow at ocean's edge, calm surf on feet, light splashing
No where I'd rather be today, instead my head's a'crashing
Somewhere inside this mind lightening is flashing
No where to hide from the ocean's teeth gnashing
No where to hide from the ocean's teeth gnashing
Tumultuous storm overhead hang black clouds
This blanket of darkness a silk shroud
Something curdles in the sky is an intensity in gray
reflecting earthly hardships in the form of old age
reflecting earthly hardships in the form of old age
Thousands of miles away a harbor, I see light
Guiding me through the line, shining bright
Strong currents pushing me back toward shore
Back to the ocean's edge, the one I adore
Back to the ocean's edge, the one I adore
